WHAT'S INCLUDED
Wood weathers gray because UV breaks down the surface fibers while mildew and tannins darken what's left. Cleaning it correctly is a two-step chemical process, not a pressure contest: a wood-safe cleaner lifts the graying and organic growth, then a brightener neutralizes the pH and restores the natural warm tone of the grain.
Cedar fences, pressure-treated pine decks, composite boards, and pergolas all respond to a different approach, and every one of them can be permanently ruined by too much pressure. Furring — that fuzzy, splintered texture on over-washed decks — never fully recovers. We work at low pressure with a fan tip and let the chemistry carry the load.
A full deck service covers boards, railings, spindles, stair treads, skirting, and the underside of the rail cap where mildew hides. Fences are cleaned on both sides where access allows, because a fence cleaned only from your yard looks unfinished from the street.
Cleaning wood is chemistry, not pressure. Furred, splintered boards never fully recover.
If you plan to stain or seal, cleaning is the mandatory first step and timing matters. We'll tell you how many dry days the wood needs before coating so the finish actually bonds instead of peeling next summer.
